Tamazzalt looked at Shalia and his expression hardened for the first time since they met. "It is not a coincidence. They have been here for almost five years. Plenty of time to learn and influence events" he replied.

"Reports are coming in almost daily now of Helians in our city." He said continuing to push his narrative that if indeed the penitents were being murdered, which he still wanted to cast doubt upon, maybe the Helians were behind it.

"The teachings of the Prophetess as shared by the Twins tell us that much. That when the ones from across the sea come to these shores the world will plunge into chaos." He said casting his eyes upon the priests. "We waited too long to get ready. Their demon masters are at our Gates. We most raise the Horde now..." He said vehemently.

Before anyway could dispute his words a fleet footed messenger walked into the balcony. The light of the brazier casted strange shadows on the group.

The man bowed his head deeply. His face and voice gripped by fear or panic...

"Masters... The penitent..." He started gasping for air and blurting out his words. "She's dead..."
