Alexis could not yet tell when the pull of the hammer wanted her to move in a particular direction or learn more. The voice had gone quiet, thankfully, and she could concentrate more.

She could tell the carvings and some statues around the main temple, depicted some form of Pilgrimage. Although she had not been able to stop as often as she wanted due to the crowd of faithful around the square, she had surmised that there were two types shown. One showing a woman travelling the desert, fighting giant scorpions and overcoming the environment and another that showed three Obelisk.

The one outside the city seemed to be the first, the other two, somewhere in the desert. She frowned under her scarf. She was not looking forward to having to travel into its burning sands again. Distracted by her thoughts and wondering what to do next she walked aimlessly into alleyways and side streets leaving the centre of the city behind.

A few hours later she found herself outside an abandoned building, only aware of the passage of time because of the position of the sun in the sky. Made out of red clay, with wooden doors, that lay open to the elements, clearly abandoned, she looked inside into a courtyard where a fountain bubbled softly...
