Godly Standings
JP with Winteroak and White_Caribou
Hearing that the cold bothered Tamazzalt brought Shalia mild reassurance in knowing that the weakness to heat wasn't entirely due to being weak as a whole. He could make the assumption that she did not fare well in this climate, either, as he once experienced in Fang. But ultimately it was not due to her own shortcomings as a weaver.
She did not miss the sense of pride in his tone. The witch had an eager itch to scratch at the thought of such an archive and a man familiar with it all.
"Something to be very proud of indeed. You must hold great importance in the eyes of the Twins to be so close to such material. I have to wonder what your peculiar status entails, Ascendant..." She coaxed, popping a smaller green fruit of her own into her mouth.
"The title Ascendant was given to me by Sister Locust herself." He explained, after all it was no secret. Men and women like Tamazzalt and Shalia, those that wielded true power tended to accumulate titles. He looked at the one called 'The Voice of Winter' and explained why.
"I am a Water-Bearer and a Air-Weaver. I can call on the powers of both Twins. Among the faith, no other holds a higher office, save for the Seer herself. You can say I am uniquely blessed."
"That makes makes two of us, it seems. Unique." Shalia consumed another small fruit, greatly considering the man's magikal prowess and prestige. Another learning opportunity if she played it right.
"My real blessings came when I was dying mid-winter years ago. Not only did it change my life, but saved it, too. I owe it to Noraura for calling me here to this continent, for reaching out her icy hand to me..." There was an undertone to her voice as she carried on, eyes breaking away upon recalling the fated interaction; a tone that was inspired and hungry, deeply sentimental at a memory carved so deeply into her core. She kept from droning on and returned her gaze. "And now we are both here. Together."
Her head tilted slightly, curious as to what else this exchange would present.
She had avoided using Noraura's name in discussion with the Ozainae for obvious reasons, but if he was sharing an integral part of his identity, so would she.
