Voah and Gonyaul continued their journey along the river knowing its long snaking path will lead them to their destination.

They have travelled far across sunburnt lands, putting as much distance between Voah's would be captured as possible. Once they reach the holy city they might be able to rest. Ponder what is next for them and what the future holds for them in Arcadia.

Two days after Voah's traumatic encounter with Vastad, while she keeps watch over their camp while her companion sleeps, she sees a small boat sailing downstream. A tall skinny man uses a long poll to push his vessel up along the currents.

He is carrying barrels and is alone. He waves at her and pushes his boat towards the shore...
