Pilgrimage of Bones
Islana watched as the young girl finished her prayers at what could have been a mighty altar once or maybe just a floor carving in the centre of a large room. It was big enough to be either.
When quizzing Madaya about the glyphs and letters carved in the runs, she sheepishly shook her head. The young girl either didn't know what it said or she couldn't read.
But she made a symbol with her hands. She touched the fingertips of her hands, making an inverted 'V' and whispering the word 'Home'.
Islana suspected the word had other meanings here, like temple, but she could not be sure. This didn't feel like Yther's home. At least she didn't think so. Not the home Viher had told her to seek.
They continued exploring for anything useful to their journey but anything that they could made use of had long been plundered or consumed by time.
They returned to their camp and something caught her eye. Tracks. The same tracks she had seen the day she found Madaya...
