Seeking Answers

Vastad had dealt her a mighty blow, but it wasn’t physical and she was still standing, albeit emotionally flayed. But... He was not mocking her, not chastizing her. This was not like the antagonistic adversity and rivals she faced in her youth. Her God was merely speaking with an earnest and even-tempered tone and expressing his sentiment.

It was an honor to be a God's champion, one that she would have donned proudly in Helias... and judging by his words, despite her failure to live up to his standards as a leader, she still could rise to the challenge that she had been missing out on. She could still be his herald... just not through the Inquisition. It was not easy to dismiss such a notion, but it was confidence here in Arcadia that she was lacking. Confidence in herself... and moreover, the cause.

There may be a chance for absolution and to be set on the righteous path, but if she was able to do so, she felt entitled to some anwsers.

"If you would grant it, my Lord... I seek answers..."
