View character profile for: Shalia Nix
Gra'akast
Shalia Nix and her guards were escorted across the strange streets of the Holy City by Tamazzalt, himself. Amastan and Agizul walked behind but seemed mere after thoughts now to the man who despite his age carried himself like one much younger.
He was gracious and genuinely interested in her and her trip to the city. He treated her with the respect she imagined he would have Koshnem himself if he had come visit.
The brisk walk to the domed temple was shorter that it would have been in a crowded city. Looking around she could tell that this city had seen better and more prosperous days.
She hardly had anytime to admire the architecture and art of the ancient temple before being escorted to a large adjacent building that was clear was some sort of residential area.
The two priest bid her farewell before entering the temple wanting to pay their respects to the Twin Gods after being away. Shalia knew that being away while their leader passing was weighting on their minds and hearts. There was also a clear tension between them and the Ascendant.
Shalia knew this was not the last time she saw the Water-Bearer and the Air-Weaver.
She was shown to a room on the top floor of the building, climbing four floor in a winding stone staircase. The room was by far the larger she had ever been in, with a massive bed that looked like could accommodate 5 people, with pillows and silk sheets. Huge tapestries hand on the stone walls and large windows looked out to the Great Oasis. There was a large table, a writing desk and Shalia's eyes widen in delight at the sight of a metal tub filled with water.
Two female servants bowed as she entered the room, ready to assist her every need.
Tamazzalt ensured Shalia Nix was happy with her quarters and bid her to rest after her long and fruitful trip Someone would come for her tomorrow morning. They would break fast in the cloistered gardens below.
