Voah looked up, wondering what the significance of this circular room was. It reminded her of a well or something with that opening to the sky, but that didn’t seem quite right.
This whole place stimulated her mind and made her feel like a kid again, like when she used to explore the ruins of rural Mizar. If tragedy had not befallen her and her mother, Voah may have gone on to become someone more like Boyce Blackwolf, rest his soul. She wished that he was here now, as well as the other friends she had made since arriving in Arcadia. Tarmen, Alexis… an ink, quill, and journal.
They took the opportunity to gaze through sights that not many people were privy too. They saw carved images of great herds crossing the plains driven by riders. They saw the majestic peaks of Fang before the snows came, ships at sea, like the one Voah saw in Sentinel. They also spotted a deep wooded valley and a rocky bay with men that seem to be praying to the sea.
Although they absorbed as much as they could, it seemed it was lost on them why they had been allowed here. Why they were being shown this temple, for the lack of a better term and unless they could think of anything else to do maybe the time had come to to return to their journey.
The variety of carved images depicted picturesque scenes and beautiful attention to detail. From what Gonyaul had experienced of Arcadia so far, it also seemed these images represented better times across the land. Well, he couldn’t support the claim that they were better times; however, perhaps more naturally balanced then the present incursion from Helias.
Present circumstances looking favorable, this tour was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. It got them out of the blistering heat for a spell and provided him with further context. It was a lovely distraction.
Speaking of lovely, Gonyaul had finished looking closely over every inch of the displays and turned his attention back on the most beautiful masterpiece in the room, Voah. He moved back over to the other two and positioned himself physically that he was done feeding his curiosity. Though he still wanted to touch it.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the questions surrounding this place, Voah decided to direct some of her inquiries at Naravas. She was certainly not finished yet. She pointed to the ships at sea and the people praying and made a sort of confused face and hand gesture asking for an explanation.
