Alexis and Tarmen - Zargari takes you to see the village elders, who seem displeased with your presence. the leader of the Atsigani explain that your are offering to help with the missing girl.

Unbeknownst to you most villagers think the storm that destroyed most of their crops, killed several animals and damaged their dwellings is punishment from Viher for allowing passage of two foreigners a week ago into the desert.

If not for the desperate pleas of a nearby older couple the elders would have refused your help or even allow you to stay in the village. A small child of around ten or eleven years old also appears to speak on your behalf. You notice his eyes drift often towards Alexis.

"You are free to help the couple find their missing child." Zargari tells you. "But you should be mindful during your time here that your presence is hardly tolerated." he explains apologetically.
"Berus, has offered to allow you to camp near his dwelling at the edge of the village." he said bowing to the young child in almost reverently fashion.
