Time To Talk
Islana couldn't be sure why she had been invited to the meeting but it didn't matter, her thoughts were on other things.
She had chalked up her curiosity to the fact that the Ozainae were just so different from any people the redhead had encountered before. It didn't exactly explain her interest in the Horde though, she wanted to know more about them. Her mind coming up with ideas that couldn't possibly be accurate, it left her wondering what their military was actually like.
As for now, the idea of seeing the Holy City lingered in her mind on the walk back to the room. Well, that and what Shaila had just done. It was retaliation for what had happened earlier, Islana understood that part. So, there was no question there.
What was going through her mind instead wondering if her magik would ever be like that. No extended concentration, just power at her disposal.
Arriving back in the room, Islana checked on the injured guard briefly and then went over to Kaithak. Everytime her green eyes fell upon the falcon, twinges of guilt came over her, that mistake wouldn't be made again.
Leaving the bird to sleep, memories of what had happened earlier replaced other thoughts. Had that actually been Alcuin?
The bounty hunter came across as many things but stupid wasn't one of them. There was little doubt he would come for her, but Islana doubted he would attack the group they would be traveling with. No, he would wait and strike when the opportunity arose, or so she guessed.
Her green eyes made their way towards the dark haired woman. Did it matter if Alcuin had been seen earlier, if Islana thought the man would show up eventually? Bringing it up would, likely, lead to questions about her past. Did she trust Shalia enough to go there?
Maybe, was the only answer the young woman could come up with. Which was a lot better than a no. It was far more definite that leaving the other woman unprepared was something she couldn't do.
A deep breath invaded her lungs and then was released. Making sure Shalia seemed settled first, Islana spoke up.
"I think there is something I need to tell you."
