A New Creature
JP with Winteroak and Cindy
Guided by the guard who asked some directions it was not long before Islana and the man found themselves at the edge of of the Amrat Fort, just outside the Caravanserai. In the distance Islana could see a large pavillion tent of white and yellow. A green standard of two crossed tusks in a field of green. A few men with long swords and lances walked the perimeter. Before she could look for any more details a strange sight pulled her attention aside. Just past the tent to the left were animals that Islana had never seen. The beasts were taller than any horse she had ever seen. They had what appeared some light brown fur of skin. It's legs were long and thin and they had some sort of hump on its back. They made a unusual braying sound as the seemed to be corralled in a special pen made of ropes.
Lerek saw Islana eyes widen at the sight.
"Camels..." He said before they walked towards the pavillion.
Nothing could have prepared Islana for the sight of the large brown animals that her eyes focused on.
Camels. The word played in her ear before finding a place in her mind.
To Islana all animals had a beauty about them, even the strange looking ones she was currently gazing upon. They all gave the young witch a sense of oneness with them with Kaithak being the strongest connection. Even when Islana had felt like she was truly alone, she always had that.
There was a second of a thought of riding one of those camels. Mostly, because she couldn't figure out what else people would use them for. Riding, possibly pulling carts and the like. It was a guess, anyway.
Next her green eyes landed on the white and yellow of the tent but mostly fixed on the green with the crossed tusks. What did that symbolize?
Was everything about the Ozainae just fascinating? It seemed so to the young woman, as her mind wanted to know so much more.
Noticing Lerek beginning to move toward the pavilion, Islana got refocused at the task at hand and moved with the guard.
