Falling

Tar was brought back from his own thoughts by the sudden question.
He had often thought about the path that had led him to where he was today and a quest that kept proving to be more and more difficult.

Sometimes in the darkness of his own thoughts and throughout the lonely days, his mind often questioned if everything he had ever done in his life had been preordained, decided by distant deities that had absolute control over one's life and if that meant that people's lifes were already mapped even before they learned to walk or talk.

"Felfar." he said answering her question. It was not the whole answer but that had been the first step. That fateful night where he had partaken of the mysterious drug that seemed to allow communion with the Gods.

"I took in the hopes that it would lead me closer to Kupen. I was searching for guidance, a sign on how I could help with the terrible events that were unfolding for all of us that fateful Winter." he paused trying to push some of the memories back down from the surface of his mind.

"A strange vision filled me. I was falling from a great height. Across an endless plain of air. I fell for what seemed like days. Weeks. The rushing air stated to eroded my skin from my bones." he paused believing that it was a sign that Kupen had turned his back on him and that he was being cast out from the God’s luminous glory.

"I struggled with my vision. Spat and cursed at the bottomless air pit that I seemed to be falling through. Until below me something rose from the emptiness." he said trying to convey his strange experience. "At first it was only a dot far away under me faling body but it suddenely it rushed upwards to meet me and soon I could tell what it was." he paused looking up at the night sky and the stars, so different from the ones back home.

"It was Fang. The beating heart or Arcadia." he looked at Alexis. "And I knew my path laid there and not in Ostiarium."
