Trouble Finds Her

The young man started shouting at Islana and grabbed at injured arm pulling at it. Before she knew what was happening he was trying to drag her away from the fountain.

The pull on her injured arm hurt and she hadn't expected it. Feeling herself being pulled against her will, Islana tried to struggle at first but a young man was likely going to be stronger than her.

Instead, the young woman tried to slip out of his grasp by twisting her injured arm, which made it hurt worse but might get her away from him. The redhead didn't trust at all what the young man wanted to possibly do to her.

Slowly but surely the young woman was dragged away from the main market square into side streets, between stalls. She wasn't sure what the man wanted with her but was starting to suspect this had all been part of some plan to get her alone. Twisting and turning soon Islana wasn't even sure if she could find her way back into the fountain.

People around her stared and pointed but no one made a move to help her.

It was useless, there was no escaping the man's grasp no matter how much Islana tried. Eventually, the attempt had to be given up as the risk of further injuring her arm grew, the healing had been delayed likely again, as is.

Trying to keep her eyes and mind on the places they passed but street after street, with booth after booth all started to look the same. It seemed like her skills were failing her.

Where was the young man taking her? There was something inside of the young woman that was screaming that it had all been a set-up. Her stomach twisted, Islana had a terrible feeling about this.

It was hard to get out of the mindset that it just wasn't going to end badly by using her magik in a crowded place. That people wouldn't be calling the inquistion on her.

This however was far removed from the streets of Ostiarium. People here thought differently, as both Shalia and the young guard had proven to her.

As if reading the thoughts racing through Islana's mind, Kaithak called out.

Trying to not overthink it and lose her courage, did it as quickly as possible not even closing her eyes.

Kaithak, help.

She could feel the power in her, the change in her eyes and heard the falcon descend on the young man.

Kaithak swirled around and then headed claws first towards the young man's head.

The falcon scored deep wounds on the young man's face before the man managed to swat at the bird which flew back up again to recover from the hit.

If Islana was going to make a move or do something about her situation this was it.
