Kumik village - Fang

Using the cover of darkness Alexis and Tar climb the path that leads up to the village plateau.. The barking of dogs and the bleating of goats can be heard even before the noise of people reaches them.

Finding cover behind some bushes still some way from the village, the see two young men, teens really, holding spears, appearing to stand guard. They are obviously bored or not taking their task too seriously.

You see a dozen or so huts, made mainly out of stone. Most people are seated in the centre of the village around their communal fire. You notice that majority of people you see are women, children and older men. Knowing of the war in the Plains you assume most men are with the main Odonine warbands.

At the back of the village you see a waterfall slowly cascading across cliff face into a small pool. You look up towards the peaks of the mountain to the eternal snow capped peaks, and admire the natural defences of the village. Surrounded by cliffs on all sides except from the path you took up.

Tar points towards the back of the village. In the darkness you can hardly see exactly what he is pointing at. A large stone column, but slowly you make out the shape of a person curled at its base.. Too large to be Islana...
