Tam's heart skipped a beat when Kent said that. It was the most romantic thing anyone had ever said to her and she walked out of the hospital on cloud nine because of it.

As for the surgery, Veronica was confident she could do the repairs to Kent's leg with little issue. After all the prep work was made for the surgery they would get to work. By then, Tam was already back at the hospital and visiting Kent in his room.

"Kent! The most wonderful thing happened! My mom was a no-show to the hearing! The judge threw the case out! I have full custody of Chris!"

Max frowned and wondered who it could be as he went to the front door and opened it. The way the mouse reacted made him worry that it was that crazy girl that got Kevin into all this trouble.
