History

Born in Florida Max moved around most of his life thanks to his mother, who often fled from debt collectors and shacked up with any man who would take her and Max in. His life was fraught with uncertainty and indignities. It wasn't until he joined the Army right out of high school that things began to turn around. After a couple tours in Afghanistan he earned his degree in English literature and opted to start teaching. Then focused on writing his first novel.

A novel which resulted in modest success. Enough to make a career of it. Which Max is content to pursue. He moved to Crystal Waters to find inspiration for his next book.
