Not Smart Kid

Kye was aware of how bad things were getting and bit at his bottom lip, lost in thought as he let Phenix lead the way. It was easy to get distracted when outside and away from all those people he knew so little about. He wanted to be able to grow close to others, to communicate better, but his sister had been all the boy had known his entire life.

It was not until Phenix suddenly began to speed up and jerk around that Kye came back to reality. "Hey, what are you doing?!" He cried out as the varactyl rushed along the paths leading to somewhere the teen was unfamiliar with. "Wait, did you...?"

He could think of only one thing that would make Phenix rush into something like this:

Aurora.

Clinging to the varactyl, Kye adjusted his sniper rifle for use and made sure the old knife in his bag was at the top. "Here we go, I guess..." He muttered, worried about not having the rebels with him. The teen knew he should turn back and get help from them, but once Phenix was on the war path there was no stopping him.

Kye would just have to do this on his own and prove he could take care of himself.
