Alone Together
The bed felt uncomfortable, it was clear that the disgusting heat of Nal Hutta was getting to Baron Aegon. Even the ship's air conditioning systems couldn't get him comfortable. He was tired and still injured from all the action he had faced on Cerea. He looked over to the wall, studying the intricate patterns of the ship paneling. He had done this in the past to get to sleep - he approximated that it worked about 75% of the time. Then there was a knock at his door. "Come in," Aegon shouted as he pushed himself back against the back wall adjacent to his bed. The doors slid open, he was surprised to see Adna standing there. She was out of her usual arcaeologist treasure-hunter gear and was dressed only in a vest and some trousers. "Adna, how can I help you?" he asked in a tired weak voice.
"Just seeing if you're okay." Adna came to his bed and sat down beside him, she started to examine his injuries. "How they feeling?"
"Painful. It's hard to settle down."
"I can imagine," she removed the bandages from the wound, she placed her fingers upon the scorched blast scarring. She began to push down gently upon the wound. "How's that?"
"Painful, why are you doing that?" Aegon asked clenching his teeth tightly together. He felt her fingers start to move up and down against the wound. "What the hell are you doing?"
"It's a healing massage from my home Aargonar, they say that working with a wound like this stimulates your blood cells to move towards the wound and heal it faster."
"I thought massages are meant to be relaxing?" Aegon laughed, doing his best to hide how much pain he was in. Zaitoona finally moved her fingers away. "Do they not have bacta on Aargonar?"
"You can't beat a bit of tradition," Zaitoona smiled. "Are you going to be okay?"
"I should be okay - I'm getting there."
"I'm always here if you need anymore help," Zaitoona leaned forwards and kissed Aegon on the lips.
"Where did that come from?" Baron smiled.
"I don't know - I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry, I'm not complaining." Baron leaned in and kissed her back, he didn't understand what was happening. He'd never felt something so specially intimate before. He never had the time for relationships.
"Would you like me to stay here and keep an eye on you?"
"I'd like that," Aegon laughed, Adna joined him with a happy giggle. Though they hadn't known each other that long Baron had never seen his new friend laugh like that before. Zaitoona lay back and made herself comfortable on Aegon's bed, he looked down at her with a grin.
