Things That Happen At The Beach

Sam and Heath walked out of the path that they had gone on to the picnic area and on to the beach. They looked around and Sam spotted Rose learning to surf with JD, Courtney with Conner, Kyle with Justin and Dawn, Blossom and Kaylee talking. A few of the rich kids on the beach.

She smiled and nodded towards JD and Rose. "They look like they're having fun. Maybe, we should get changed and go surfing."

"That's sounds good." The two kissed before heading off to get changed and then meeting back up. They spent some time surfing with boards that Matt had said they could borrow. Clearly, there were better surfers out there but it was fun and it wasn't like they were competing with anyone. After a time, they decided they needed a break. So, they gave the boards back to Matt, thanking him for the use of them and then rinsed off. Sam spotted Rose laying in the sun and went over to her.

"We need to talk." Sam said, "I have something to tell you."

"OK?" Rose smiled. Sam, unlike herself, was overly excited about something like a very typical teen girl. She got up and they moved off to the side.

"Heath told me he loved me. I mean he said it, then I said it...I mean." Sam stopped.

"Will, you take a breath. Heath said what...he loved you?" Rose asked, never having seen Sam like this.

"Yes, I think he hadn't meant to say it but I knew he meant it. I said it back....then...well."

"I don't need details but that's great. I mean I'm so happy for both of you." Rose hugged her friend.

The two went back to the blanket and laid down, getting some sun and discussing if maybe they should get some desserts.
