OOC - Ouroboros: A Ship Lost in Space

The Ouroboros is one of the most advanced ships in the sector. Composed of a skilled crew brought from across the stars, the Ouroboros and its mission were designed in an effort to bring peace between the people of the Sirius Sector.

Their mission is to find Earth. Its location is lost after the great Exodus over 800 years ago. It was an Exodus that saw the nations of Earth and its colonies flee the war-torn worlds of Sol to pastures new in the Sirius Sector.

And now, like the planet they are hunting for, the Ouroboros is also lost. A malfunction with the Hypergate left them stranded in deep space, 1500 light years from home and 1500 from their target. Not only that, but several members of the crew were killed - including the captain. The crew now face the long and daunting trip through deep space? Can the Acting Captain keep them on the mission? Or will someone overthrow him and take the ship in another direction?

Ouroboros is a game that welcomes players of all skills and experiences. You can be a member of the crew, from bridge officer to clerk, or any of the civilian and scientists that help keep the ship running, or want to take control.

The ship is heading from system to system as we explore the new, undiscovered, uncharted world we find ourselves in.

Players have the opportunity to create a rich backstory for their characters, filling in the system spanning empires that are their home. Or alternatively, there is ample space to add colour to the vast void of space the crew are facing.

Currently, the acting captain is facing a potential power struggle, an alien spacecraft has been discovered in a nearby asteroid field. On top of that, a rogue virus has infected the ship's systems.
