Reputation

Gularzob felt a flare of impatience fire up in his chest as the man he now knew as Artem asked what the price of his assistance would be. Looking over his shoulder at the two of them, he stopped and faced them with his arms crossed. Seeming to appraise their worth, he glanced back over towards the gates before speaking, "The only price is that I would appreciate if you found something in my shop to purchase or have made. Afterwards, spread word of my craftsmanship throughout the lands. That is all."

Nodding sternly as if to stop any further investigation of his motives, he began to step away to walk again when he heard the woman speak. Smiling as he turned back, he said, "It seems my reputation has already found you, Winifred, but yes, that is me."

Turning to walk back towards the gate he went with a little more happiness in his stride and a smile on his lips. As they got closer, he glanced over his shoulder towards them in order to check that they were maintaining a close interval to make sure the plan went accordingly. Approaching the gate house, he stopped as a guard looked over the battlements. Looking up at the gleaming armor, Gularzob chuckled before calling out, "Is it still comfortable Oliver?"

Oliver nodded and smirked before calling out, "Yeah yeah, and who is that you've got with you?"

Gularzob looked over his shoulder and gestured towards the two before speaking, "These are my guests, Oliver. Lord Artem and Lady Winifred here to pick up their latest wares from my shop, possibly even to place more."

Oliver narrowed his eyes before responding, "I've been in your shop several times, Nugbu, and I haven't seen anything of the sort."

Gularzob chuckled and waved his hand towards the guard, "You think of leave their masterpieces out for any customer to see? What kind of fool do you take me for? Now, open the gate and move from our way."

As the guard disappeared behind the battlements and the gate started to clatter open, Gularzob turned and spoke in a hushed voice to the other two, "Assume your new stations, Lord and Lady. You have dressed this way to avoid notice on the road, so when we arrive at my shop, I will send for a tailor and a scribe to prove your credentials. With these identities, the guard will not approach you and you will be granted free will to travel through most of the city for whatever your purposes here are."
