Pushing On

Simon smiled as he heard Katya's choice to keep moving, admiring her strength and resolve to push past an experience that she was not trained to experience. He did not know much about the Inquisition, preferring to stick with his comrades. But, he did know that they specialized more in subterfuge and one on one combat against mages and their like rather than battles against organized forces in mass combat.

Pushing Maddox into the underbrush, he navigated through underbrush and around large trees in a serpentine fashion until they came upon an old game trail. Dismounting, he led Maddox across the trail before kneeling down beside it to brush the dirt off of a partially exposed rock. Grinning as a symbol resembling a crossed mace and axe became visible, he hopped back up into the saddle, igboring the stirrup in his excitement as he turned to face her and speak, "Here lies the path. It is the swiftest path to our destination, other than the main road of course. Make sure to keep up."

Smiling, he reared Maddox up on his hind legs to do a quarter turn before setting off at a quick trot down the trail. It would only be a little after sunrise when they arrived at the brothel if they kept this pace, which he knew Maddox could for it would be within the time window before he would have to give the horse rest.
