An irrisistable offer

Gareth was shocked to hear what purpose he had been bought for. What kind of person could even be thinking of such a thing, let alone be serious about carrying it out? He turned his head and looked towards Sabina, his eyes for once full of disbelief and anger.

The way he was looking at her made Sabina involuntary take a step back, scared of what was happening behind those piercing blue eyes. Though, before she had any time to ask his eyes swiftly turned back to Ceriden.

He almost couldn't believe what Ceriden was offering, but the mere thought of the chickens made his mouth start watering. As respond he quickly nodded, almost afraid that Ceriden was going to take back his offer if he wasn't quick enough to answer "Of course! But I don't know how many it will take, though it's going to be a lot.". He knew he might be pushing his luck, but he really needed a lot of chickens if there should even be the slightest chance of quenching his thirst. It had been so long since he'd been offered any type of food at all, so this was an offer he couldn't turn down.
