Alicia in the Drive room

Panting slightly, due to having to waddle up three flights of stairs, Alicia reached the drive room.

She spoke to the computer, "Ok, there's an emergency, what is it.

As she spoke the viewscreen changed to show a flaming spacestation headed right towards the Blue Dwarf."

"OH SMEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!!!, she shouted.

"Where are the rest of the crew?, no don't tell me they're on the space station that's hurtling towards us. Right how long will it take to fire up the ships engines?

" A little over 2 minutes", replied the computer.

"And how long before the space station hits"

"A little over 2 minutes"

"Right so let me summarise, there's a flaming space station headed straight towards us that'll hit before we can move out of the way. If it hits and breaches the hull, we're dead, if it hits but doesn't breach the hull but causes a fore that reaches the fuel pods we are in fact dead."

"That's about it, still you've got to giggle."

"Wait a minute let me think this through

"Waiting"

"Can we use the ship's fire suppression to put out the fire"

"It's for internal use only"

"Hang on the stasis pods- they use a mixture of creon gas right"

"Yeah"

"Creon becomes liquid at hight tempertures, if we shoot the gas at the station just at about a minute away it'll hopefully hot the flames, putting them out."

"Possibly"

"OK I want you to do 3 things: 1) Reroute the creon gas filters to fire atthe flames when the stations a minute away, 2) Tell whoever's on the station by radio that's what we're doing so all they have to do hopefully is try not to breach the hull....
