Shimo’s father, a fae of the Winter Court, was a powerful, elusive being—an ancient Sidhe who wandered between the mortal realm and the fae realms, rarely seen by human eyes. From a young age, Shimo exhibited traits that set him apart from both mortals and fae alike. He was mischievous, quick-witted, and unafraid to challenge the status quo, which made him a troublesome figure among the fae.
His defiance of tradition was seen as a flaw in the fae world, where conformity and balance were paramount. In the fae hierarchy, the mantle of “Heart of Winter” had traditionally been passed to those who obeyed the will of the Winter Court without question—those who understood and upheld the rules of the Sidhe. But Shimo was different. He questioned everything, including his place within the Court.
