Intro: Jennifer Fitzben

Jennifer Fitzben sighed heavily as she tied her hair back into a high ponytail to keep it out of her face. The brown curls were wild and some would call it out of control, but she just called it a nightmare. Despite her best efforts to keep the locks in place, some still escaped the hairband and would almost frame her face as she pulled on her apron for work. Tying it into place, she glanced out into the diner with a silent groan.

Waitressing was not the job Jennifer had imagined herself doing, but she needed to pay for college somehow, so here she was.

“Jen, the latest customers are yours,” A fellow waitress chimed as she walked by the short brunette. Blue eyes followed her coworker's gesture toward the table where a young man and woman were now sitting.

This is for the future job you want. She chimed in her mind, a mantra that always kept her going. Forcing her smile that no one ever seemed to see through, she grabbed up her pad and pen and went toward the table. The girl was pretty with freckles and the young man was handsome, his glasses only adding to his charm.

With that smile still on her face, she spoke up. “Hello, I'm Jennifer and I'll be your waitress today. You can call me Jen.” She chimed as she wrote down a two on her notepad to remind herself it was two people. “What can I start you off with today? Some drinks and appetizers?”
