Familiar face

As the team spoke to Oswald about the Maroni crime family, an Asian woman caught Kate's attention. That woman looks just like how I imagined Bruce if he was a woman. Kate nudged Barbara and got her to look over at the Asian woman. "Keep me in the loop." Kate whispered to Barbara then headed over.

"You look awfully familiar. Did we go to school together?" Orime looked over to Kate. She sized her up. Orime's Japanese accent was abundantly clear when she spoke. "I seriously doubt you know me Kate Kane." Kate sat down, intrigued, curious, and very concerned. "How do you know my name?" A waitress dropped off Orime's drink order. Orime took a sip of the saki. "I don't go into business with anyone without doing extensive research first. You will officially be assigned to my security detail tomorrow. I have hired the Crows to provide security for a press conference tomorrow. I asked for you especially to lead the team. It's a press conference across the street from Wayne Enterprises." Orime took another sip of her saki. "I know you are Bruce Wayne's cousin. You must have noticed my resemblance to Bruce." Kate took a sip of her cocktail. "It hasn't gone unnoticed." Orime looked Kate directly in the eyes. "That's because Bruce is my father." She gave it time to sink in before continuing. "You can Richard and the others that I am not interested in Bruce's money, home, or anything else. I am here on business only. I will be in town indefinitely for the moment until the circumstances causing my arrival change. I am sure you will want to look me up, my name is Obara Orime." Orime got a text. The slightest smile could be seen. She stood up. "I'll see you tomorrow. If you or any of the others need, want to see me while I am in town I am staying at the Royal Hotel." As she left she dialed someone and began talking in code in Japanese.

Kate returned to the others. "That woman claims to be Bruce's daughter. Name is Obara Orime." Barbara was already on her computer doing her thing. "Her family owns Obara Enterprises. The family has more money than Bruce. They are a direct competitor of Wayne Enterprises in some fields, they also do business in sectors Bruce would never have considered. Between the Obara family and Obara Enterprises, they own 30% of Wayne Enterprises stock. They also gave Bruce the exclusive right to vote by proxy for them. Did she say where she was staying?" Kate gave her the hotel name, what Orime was planning to do tomorrow, and how she practically invited everyone over. "She's in the penthouse suite." Dick finished his drink. "Then I think we should pay my 'sister' a visit don't you think?"
