One in the Same
Nataya happily accepted the cooked meat. She ate it without hesitation, not leaving her taste buds any time to appreciate the flavor. Fruit was a rare find, so she'd give herself a few extra seconds to enjoy it. For most people, meat was considered rare as well, but she was skilled in tracking and hunting - so she lived off of meat. She turned her attention to Stella and smiled - it seemed that she was the same way. "Thank you."
Since leaving her tribe as a child, Nataya hadn't shared a meal with another person. She had only ran into a handful of other people in the past decade, and not one of them she deemed trustworthy - but Stella was kind, and she was alone too. The likelihood of finding someone else who lived alone and wild as the land around them was nearly inconceivable.
