Another Watch

Kailus settled down to the watch once more. The fact that they were close made him more alert.

He checked weapons and armour again, anticipating battle on the morrow, but mostly he was listening and watching for signs of people close by. If the bandits were camped here, then they might have a patrol or scouts. It would not do to be caught out by them.
