Island Girls - The day after

Morning came too fast and there was a soft knock on Nikitas door. It was her day off so she could do as she pleased including sleep in.

Nikita had fallen asleep in her fluffy robe, and groggily shuffled to the door, not willing to risk it being another trip or something exciting. She opened the door and peered out, not that there was an inch of her that hadn’t been seen by half the island. Modesty was put in a locker during one of the spa visits.

Jasmine who has no right to be this perky this early brightly waved. "Awe look at you! Still recovering from the party? You want me to come back later?" The girl chuckled.

“Nah, c’mon in,” Nikita said. “How did you get over the jetlag so fast?”

"Meth." Jasmine joked, prancing into Nikitas room. "Honestly sheer willpower. If I stand still too long I will pass out! I just wanted to check in on you and see how the new 'It' girl is doing!"

“It girl?” Nikita giggled with an eyeroll, patting the side of the bed for Jasmine to sit down. “I feel like I’m always a step behind. Unless you mean cousin it.” She flipped her hair in front of her face, and it cascaded down like black silk. Honestly, the spa was magical.

"Now I know you slept through it … behold!" Jasmine said, holding out her phone, with her Instagram open. It was specifically Ari’s Instagram and it was photo after photo of the party. Nikita featured in more than a few. There was a video of her winning her prize and Ari doting on her as he put on the jade bead belt.

'My newest and cutest party girl, Nikita, is showing off her skill! Jade is so her color glad she had such a good time! It's the perfect momento!' The caption read.

"Like I said … it … girl." Jasmine said, looking a bit smug. "You have your own page?"

Nikita’s jaw nearly dropped. “Yeah, but I thought we weren’t supposed to post up. I… didn’t even know he knew my name,” She said with another giggle.

"Correct but there is a caveat. In cases like this they will pre approve photos for you to put up on your social media. Totally. Worth it." Jasmine assured. "Don't neglect it. Also don't get too excited you think a guy like Ari does his own social media? I'm pretty sure he doesn't know any of our names unless it's important and he's told it five seconds before he talks to any of us. I'm pretty sure I'm 'That girl with the flower name who speaks Korean … is she new? No, I think I saw her once or twice.'" Jasmine said in a fake manly voice. "I think your name will be 'That jade girl.'" She giggled.

“Right, right,” Nikita snickered, her ego deflating as she linked the pics to her own social media. “So, Flower name girl, you want something to eat?”

"Oh my gawd yes! Let's raid your mini fridge!" Jasmine clapped. "I totally expect you to be asked at the next one, the smile you did with your hand looking a little shy? Perfect. You stood out in all the right ways." Jasmine smiled, opening the mini fridge. "Wait till you go to a party in Singapore, those are wild even by Island girl standards. Remember the difference between an average party girl and a fantastic party girl is making Ari look good. You got some status, use it."

“I will,” Nikita said, nodding as she took a string cheese from the mini fridge. She really expected more cattiness, but Jasmine, everyone on the island, Helga - they were all like a big family.

"Good! Cuz you never know where you'll be next and there is zero shame about getting every edge you can squeeze out!" Jasmine said as she yawned between bites. "See? Slowing down and ready to fall back over." Jasmine chuckled and pointed to herself.

“Thanks Jasmine. I don’t know what I’d do without you,” Nikita admitted.

"Everyone needs someone chickadee … ping me when you wake up and I'll book us a massage or something, Nothing like weeks on end barefoot and then you gotta rock heels for, what? Ten hours straight?" Jasmine said, yawning with a stretch as she got up. "More sleep spoil feet later."

“Yes!” Nikita added with a giggle. “Me and my feet look forward to it.” She gave a content sigh, looking forward to the spa.

"Awesome! Eat, drink, catch more z's and we can spoil ourselves a little." Jasmine said brightly heading out the door with some string cheese. "See you later." She sang.

Pampering was had, and Nikita still had plenty of downtime to work on her tan- which was encouraged, as long as you used the appropriate amount of sunscreen. Their contracts were very specific about things. Essentially - sunburn was considered ‘self-harming’ and not allowed. It was nice to have a break from everything though and just enjoy some beach time. She even got to call home for a bit, careful not to go into too many specifics because phone calls, texts emails, all communication was monitored. Still, it was a good conversation. She was careful when talking about the time differences - she hadn’t been able to let Nike or Bishop dream walk, and she assumed it was because of the different time zones, she was up while they slept, but she wasn’t really sure. She also didn’t want to advertise the fact that she or they were Jennies, so it was a hard subject to broach.

That evening, the guests were treated to a performance by the circus troupe which, except for a few cart drivers to escort guests to the air conditioned big-top gave the girls a night off as well.

Most of the girls turned in early, since the guests would be leaving the next day and the Island prepared for what Jasmine called ‘the next wave,’ more elite, young A-listers to wheel and deal, wine and dine, and impress with a few day stay in a tropical paradise.

Ari stepped out of the pool, being handed a towel by a curvaceous young woman in an impossibly small bikini. He didn’t even glance in her direction as he headed back towards the house to change.

He didn’t much care that he dripped on the stone marble flooring, as he crossed through the house to his own suite where a fresh outfit, a crisp white linen shirt and Khaki colored shorts was already laid out on the bed for him,

By the time he’d showered and dressed, his staff had mopped up the small puddles left from his stroll from the pool. Stepping outside, another bikini-clad woman, this time with a chauffeur hat waited beside an off-road vehicle. Ari sat in the passenger seat, and the woman leaned across him to fasten his seat belt for him before walking around to her own side.

“Come on, come on,” he chastised, looking just as impatient as he sounded.
