Power Through The Storm

Eun-Ji returned the greeting to Choi and retrieved the Bible from her purse. She no longer needed it and had no problem handing it over to him.

At his inquiry she raised a confused brow. Why would he expect David to be joining them?

“He’s busy.” She cryptically replied.

Her transaction was done and she was planning on leaving. In fact she started to look like she was getting ready to leave when the name of the crawling chaos gave her pause. She changed course and took a seat, interested suddenly in what the topic of discussion was about.

"I wouldn't venture far if I were you." said Prue stepping in from the hallway . She sat on the couch and held her head in her hands.

Agent Powers heard the name "Nyarlethotep" from Alyssa and paused his game to look it up on his phone. He remembered the name before and as he searched for it he remembered playing a game where Nyarlethotep was the big boss enemy. It took the shape of a cute girl, sexy woman, giant tentacle bug monster or a giant octopus man monster. He remembered how hard it was to beat the big boss and wondered if the real one was anything like the game one. He sighed as he thought he might need a bigger gun from his dad if he was going to have to fight that monster in real life. He texted his dad and resumed his game as he waited for a response.

Prue would continue, “It would be best if you all stayed here. My sister's premonitions are usually accurate”

It didn't exactly escape Alyssa that Enu-JI looked like she was going to leave. She was about tempted to offer to show her the door. However, Alyssa wasn't keen on putting someone in danger like that.

"So, you want to fill us in on the premonition?" Alyssa asked Prue.

"Whatever happens. Happens here tomorrow night." Prue cryptically said. “There will be someone here, I haven't seen in a while. And someone I have never seen. The man who brought me back will be here, Chickey Chick”

The storm began to pick up outside. Lightening cracked as if it were being propelled by the darkness of the cosmos.

"Dammit!" Alyssa exclaimed. "Internet's out." She wasn't exactly down, as she hooked her laptop up to the signal on her phone. Still, she didn't like using that as much, just personal preference.

Alyssa had never really liked thunderstorms, and after the weirdness of the past couple of years hated them even more now. Not a phobia but they did make her uneasy.

"Are you able to work offline?" asked Sartre.

"I'm hooked up to the signal from my phone." Alyssa explained. "So, I can still work for now.”

"And if nothing is supposed to happen until tomorrow night what are we supposed to do?" asked Sartre.

"I'm going to talk with Piper and watch a movie." said Prue as she gave the pallid hacker a glance. Though this time it was solemn and respectful. Prue made her way down the hall.

Prue left and Alyssa sighed. "Well, we're stuck here and I can't do much else at the moment anyway. The sisters aren't exactly being forthcoming. They aren't giving me much to research. Watching a movie might not be a bad idea." Though she was wondering how long the power would hold out.

As if something uncanny was happening, even though the power was out, A TV could be heard from the end of the hallway. Also the fans in all the rooms began to spin as if on their own. The house had a pleasant coolness to it amid the summer heat.

In the chip. " Alyssa, Lets go lay down and watch some tv. Something tells me we're going to have a busy tomorrow night." said Sartre.

Alyssa was packing up her laptop when Peter spoke to her through the chip. Alright. She stood up. The two left the living room and headed upstairs
