Kailus: Let's save it

"I would never leave a horse to die this way." Kailus begins, "No matter how it behaved. I vote we save it. An hour of extra riding is not going to make a lot of difference to us, given the three day head start of the assassins."

Assuming no objections, Kailus pats the horse gently in order to install some trust and then gives the horse some water in order to revive it. Given the horse's clear dislike of someone not its rider, Kailus doesn't feel that the group would be able to use to horse for much, it is more a matter of principle.

He is however worried about wandering around with what is clearly the king's messenger's horse. He unhooks the saddle and saddle bags (Checking their contents).

"I suggest we disguise this horse a little. We'll need the tack, but not the fancy saddle bags. The saddle itself is a problem though, We will need one if we recruit another passenger, which I don't foresee at the moment. We'll bury it here. The saddle bags can be carried on another horse under a blanket to hide it." he looks to Venya, "If you don't mind? I'd like to carry something to prove the horses ownership if we need to."

He proceeds to pat some mud or dust onto the horse in order to disguise it, as it recovers, using calming gestures in order to ease its obvious high spirit and gain its trust.
