Taking on EAST
Lydia stopped for a second, observing the man standing outside. She listened carefully to his phone call, and instantly knew who he was. The emotional distress of a father unable to protect his son was something that could never slip past a telepath. Lydia walked by him, not sharing any words, but placing a gentle hand on his arm as she passed by - an attempt at a reassuring gesture.
As she walked into the building, her eyes scanned everything that they could. She took mental notes of anything that could provide useful when things get messy - because things were, without a doubt, about to get messy. She approached the front desk, which was protected by bullet proof glass and metal walls, forcing herself to cry before she got up to the officer. "I need to report a crime." She said through forced huffs and tears.
"Do you need medical attention?" The officer asked, his heart aching slightly for the seemingly harmless girl.
Lydia nodded, pressing her face into her hands, now sobbing dramatically. The officer quickly got up from his chair and left his bulletproof office. He approached Lydia with a tissue and placed a hand on her shoulder; "What happened? Did someone hurt you?" The concerned officer asked.
Lydia immediately grabbed the officers hand, twisting it harshly and shoving him against the bullet proof glass. She slipped his gun out of it's holster while aggressively shoving him to the side. After readying the weapon, she shot at every officer rushing towards her, hitting them all with precise accuracy. Hopefully, none of them would die, as she shot them all in or near non fatal spots. There was no time to focus on merciful thoughts though. Lydia quickly stormed down to the investigation room and kicked open the door. Her gaze met that of the tormented telepath, bound to a wheel chair, causing a seething pain to ripple through her head. The pain blinded her momentarily, and nearly stole her balance. Without truly thinking, Lydia took a pained glance at the room, aimed the gun, and shot both agents. One fell to the ground, collapsing with a heavy thud. The other took several steps back, clutching his chest. "Finlay we need to go NOW. Don't talk to your dad, don't talk to anyone, just move!" She managed to spit out as she stumbled back out of the room, one hand cradling her head.
