Lunch Will Have To Wait (JP)
Johnathan sat next to her and nodded, craving a cigarette. "To be honest with you, me neither, and I do the paperwork." He said, loosing a sigh but wearing a smile. The day had already been fairly productive and it was only just nearing noon. "I made sure the nurses had access to page you. So if you need to do anything, or want to go do anything, feel free to. If someone needs your help, you'll be notified." He said, tapping his own pager
"Thank you," she replied and brushed her hair behind her ear, only for it to pop free again. This reminded her that she should really find those hairbands from her bag and use them to keep it out of her face, but with how busy being a doctor was, she would certainly forget about them. "So, what do you do during down time here?" She inquired.
Johnathan, moving without thinking, leaned forward and tucked Khun's hair behind her ear. He pulled a hair pin out of his pocket, something he carried around often for Cynthia or Lydia, and pinned her hair in place. He smiled and moved back a bit, but not back to his original position - he stayed somewhat close. "I usually go upstairs and do paperwork, then sleep until Cynthia scolds me for being lazy." He quipped
The blush from earlier returned, only darker now as it crossed her face. No one had ever done something so sweet for her before. "Thank you," Khunara almost whispered. "But are you really lazy?" Her voice became teasing when she asked the question. A part of her didn't want him to move away.
Johnathan thought for a second, shrugged, and said "Cynthia's got a good judge of character." He laughed a little bit and stood up from his chair, stretching so that his back popped serveral times. "Speaking of which, I have to get back to surface level. Someone's got to keep on surveillance.
Do you want to join me?" He asked, this time out stretching his hand to her
"I'd love to," Khunara chimed as she set her hand in his and got to her feet.
Johnathan wrapped his fingers around Khuns hand, holding it softly in his as he led them towards the stairs. He smiled to himself, feeling like a child that had a crush. He ignored the looks from others in the halls because he couldn't blame them - he wasn't a very touchy person. "I can make us lunch when we get up stairs, if you're hungry."
"That would be nice," Khunara started when a nurse walked up to them and offered a char to the doctor. "What's this?"
"It's a patient that Kyra handed over to us a few minutes ago. He needs an examination." The nurse explained. "Do you want to handle it or have us deal with it?"
"I can handle it." Khunara replied with a tired smile. "Get him into a room and I'll check in on him."
With a nod, the nurse walked off.
"Do you want to meet up later?" He asked, as their plans had now been cut short. "I'll just be upstairs doing boring paperwork and watching surveillance."
Khunara looked over the charts and nodded reluctantly. "I'll be up there soon. Seems this Demitri Ivanov only needs some stitches for his knife wound." She replied. "Why does that name seem familiar...?" She couldn't quite put a solid face to the name, but she was sure she'd heard that name before. Who was it? She would find out, that was for sure.
As Johnathan left, Khunara made her way to the room they were putting Demitri in.
