Perrine gave a simple and endearing smile to Cynthia. It had indeed been a while since they had seen each other. It felt like ages since the day he came across her and Lydia wandering around aimlessly in the wilderness, them journeying together, and him introducing them to Johnathan. She looked well, but he could sense she was stressed about something.

Perrine was a perceptive individual with animal like empathy. He realized immediately that an eager and interested Johnathan wanted to continue in Khunara’s company. Khunara seemed receptive to this advance. Cynthia wanted to continue in Johnathan’s company, but seemed less eager about it and more anxious. Perrine knew, from the past that Cynthia and Johnathan were dating. Was there a dramatic relationship triangle afoot, he wondered.

Like in most instances, Perrine kept his sensitivity regarding the observations of others silent. It was none of his business. Instead he bowed in departing to both John and Khunara and took off towards the entrance.

“Hoi arr yoo doin?” He managed as they walked to the entrance. She would know that he was speaking much better than when they traveled together. The guard escort was leaving him alone now that Cynthia was with him.
