Awkward Hunger (J/K/C)

“Hello,” Khun says softly and tries to smile, but exhaustion keeps her from doing so. The smell of the food makes her mouth water and she has to gulp to keep herself from drooling. Her eyes scan over the food, all the stuff she used to enjoy. That was a over a year ago, though. She cannot even recall the last time she sat at a family-like table and enjoyed a full meal. It has been quick fast-food meals and some stuff given to her by patients that did not have money.

“Are you sure it’s okay for me to eat the food?” She suddenly asks, looking at Cynthia. If not for the hunger, she would have thought to ask about the hug and hand holding, but hunger wins this time. She wants to eat, but she does not wish to seem rude. “I mean…uhm…” Face flushing, she makes herself sit at the table, but avoids the wine. No matter what form or fashion it is in, she hates anything that can keep her from being lucid.

The food is all very nice and she does not know where to begin, but she hopes that the awkwardness she is feeling will dissipate.
