JOBS FOR CARPATHIANS:

HUNTER: A Carpathian who has been called to the service of his people to ridding the world of the vampires
(The hunter category in the character creation is if you are a human who hunts vampires and Carpathians)
HEALER: A Carpathian that is skilled and valued for their ability to heal others. (See website for details on healing abilities)
SCHOLLER: A Carpathian whose skills are knowledge based, they keep track of history and know more of the modern world
(there are jobs such as "Prince" leader of the Carpathians that you can earn throughout the RP, if you are interested in a job or have an idea for one let me know)

JOBS FOR HUMANS: Regular humans and physic humans may have jobs. Just like the Carpathians you can be a hunter, or anything yo want to be.

Abilities for Humans and Carpathians:
If you are playing a psychic human, make sure your abilities are not OP and you will have to have a drawback (One ability only) Ex: reading minds, but when you are touched physically or in a crowd it overwhelms you and causes you physical pain

For regular humans, your special abilities are your talents. Ex: Cooking, Mechanics, Blades smithing.

Literally "guardian of all" in Carpathian. A combination of Lycan and Carpathian blood mixed together. They possess the gifts of both species, enhanced beyond that of Lycans or Carpathians on their own.

JAGUAR:
A race of shapeshifters that is all but extinct. The males refused to stay with the females and eventually the females took human husbands. The bloodline thinned over the centuries. Many of the women who are lifemates to Carpathians are able to be converted because of their Jaguar heritage.

LYCAN:
Another ancient long-lived species of people who can shift from a human form to that of a wolf. They are gifted with speed, strength, and enhanced senses. Vulnerable to silver.

- Bloodthirsty [must drain all blood]
- Silver [burns, slows healing factor]
- Holy Symbols [burns, slows healing factor]
- Blessed Substances (anointing oil, holy water, palm ash) [burns]
- Garlic [burns, irritates eyes]
- Rowan and White Oak [slows healing factor]
- Carpathian Grave Dirt [can be used to keep vampire in coffin or out of a location]
- Sunlight [burns, turns to dust after prolonged exposure]
- Vulnerability to Fire [prevents healing factor, must remove damaged tissues]

The only way to kill a Vampire is to burn them in the sun, decapitate them, or remove and burn their heart.

Binding Ritual

Man and woman drink each other's blood, make love, and the man says, “I claim you as my lifemate. I belong to you. I offer my life for you. I give to you my protection, my allegiance, my heart, my soul, and my body. I take into my keeping the same that is yours. Your life, happiness, and welfare will be cherished and placed above my own for all time. You are my lifemate, bound to me for all eternity and always in my care.” Only Carpathian males who see colors and feel emotions can do this. The words alone tie the souls the lifemates together, two halves of the same whole. Mating and drinking blood can be done with someone not one's lifemate, but not at the same time. It is forbidden and can turn them into vampires if they are not careful. The words are like vows and the whole thing is like a wedding, but stronger, deeper. Once all three things are done, there is no such thing as a divorce, there is no taking the words back, and every Carpathian will know of their joining.

To loosely quote the series, one can not live without the other. The need to merge or read each other's minds, to touch the other, to make love, to see the other is safe and sound will be paramount. Long distances without one of those things is uncomfortable and sometimes disastrous. Simply see each other without any of those three things can make them need each other. The woman is the light to the man's darkness. The binding ritual is a way to ensure the species' survival and preventing Carpathians from turning vampire. The words are imprinted on the males' soul before birth, like the healing chant. (Those words aren't in English in the book, so if you must use the healing chant, just say so. Don't try to make it up, please.)
