JP - The one with a collar around her Neck

“You’re not the one with a fucking collar around your neck!” Anna hissed, pointing to her collar. The burns around where it pressed to her were nasty and new. “They’re always watching, damn it! If I don’t bring them back, we’re fucked and your little plan to save your friends goes out the fucking window!”

“I believe we should just take them in and help them escape in the plan.” Abraham suggested suddenly from behind Lyle. Riven was next to him.

"And how can I trust you Abraham?" Lyle replied looking at him "last time I saw you was helping Riley put you six feet under." Turning to Anna he sighed "I can get you out of that collar Anna I know I like to tease you but I do care about you."

“You humans always say shit like that…” Anna frowned, but pulled her hand away from Lola’s face. The little ram horned girl went right to Fang and clung to him.

“I died?” Abraham looked down at himself.

“Dude, he doesn’t remember that!” Riven groaned. “Hell, I don’t remember dying, but they told me…in sickening detail!”

"My god you're one of the most frustrating women I've ever met" Lyle growled as he walked up to Anna and pulled her into a passionate kiss before turning back to the others. "Listen to me Fang I know you care about Lola and you want to protect her I once had someone in my life like that that I risked everything to do the same. I lost her and nearly lost myself but I made a promise to a friend that I would rescue those important to us from that hell hole. But I can't do that if I come back empty handed. I've waited 5 years for this moment. I need your help I promise I will not allow you or Lola to stay stuck there."

Looking over to Abe he continued "I'm sorry for dropping such a bomb on you right now but you needed to know this. Help me out with this and you can not only can see your daughter but your granddaughter again."

Anna just stood there in too much shock to react. No one in all her life had kissed her.

Riven blinked and couldn’t stop the grin on his face, Abe handing him a twenty dollar bill. “I win,” He said before listening to Lyle. “Look, Fang and Lola, you got it easy if you stick with us. We ain’t bad - we just gotta play along with these fuckers.”

“I have a granddaughter?” Abraham looked shocked, staring at Lyle. “My daughter and that Riley boy finally had their child?”

Fang merely kept Lola held close, stroking her hair to keep the ram horned girl calm. It was obvious she could not and would not speak at the moment. All she could do was keep quiet. “Can Lola and I share a room there?” He asked. “Before this…escape you speak of?”

"We can pull some strings, tell them you're bonded or something" Lyle replied "you'll only be there a couple days at most we just got to give Riley and crew enough time to get ready." Turning to Abraham He was confused how did he not know about his grandchild he held her in his arms. Deciding Riley can figure that out later he continued "Yeah they did five years ago her name is Amber."

Abraham just seemed more confused.

Riven looked at Lyle and walked over to him. “When they brought him back, they kept a lot secret from him…” He whispered before having to duck.

Anna’s fist was suddenly slamming into Lyle’s face.

Lyle fell backwards onto the ground groaning for a second before looking up at Riven "we'll handle the memory stuff later" he spoke before looking at Anna "so is that your way of saying you accept my confession to you?"

She cursed in Finnish and turned away, crossing her arms as she made her way down the hall. Anna was not going to talk about this in front of everyone.

“Wow, she looked ready to kill you, dude.” Riven told him with a chuckle. “Come on, lets get out of this tunnel. I hate confined spaces…”

Lyle nodded and got up leading the others out of the tunnel "how soon till extraction comes to pick us up?"

“Remember how we’re supposed to be out here a week?” Abraham said. “Yeah…a week.”

“Fuuuuuck,” Riven groaned. “I guess I’ll go hunt us some food.”

Back on the surface, Riven would head off with Abe to get food, leaving Anna and Lyle with the two metas that seemed to never leave each other’s sides. It was almost like Fang and Lola were glued together at the hip, but it was obvious they were a mated pair.

Lyle walked over to Anna "do you want to talk about it?" He asked, pulling her aside. Ever since they were assigned to each other he knew of dislike of humans especially males.

Anna jerked her arm from his grasp. “About what, human?” She asked, trying to avoid the question.

"Fine I'll talk first" Lyle replied leaning against a wall "after I lost my eye I left the military and joined Megacorp. Was a lot like you just going from mission to mission, then I met someone who changed my outlook and I left and risked everything to protect her." Looking down he pulled out a feather "she made me a better person and then six years ago she was murdered and I lost myself after I got revenge I tried to end it all but she won't let me."

Looking up at her Lyle smiled " I never thought I would have feelings for anyone else until I met you, I felt guilty about it at first but now I don't."

I’m so proud of you… Juliet’s voice whispered into his ear before fading.

Anna crossed her arms. “Why me? I’ve been nothing but rude and obnoxious toward you, human.” She glared at him with those gold eyes.

Lyle smiled a tear falling down his face as he heard her voice again. "Because I see my old self in you and I want to help you" he replied, moving closer to her. " I want to show you the good and kindness in this world that you deserve."
