JP - Gravity
"We should set up a base of operations if we're going to be here for awhile" Lyle replied, grabbing his rifle. "More than likely they're hiding in a place with a great view of the area and plenty of escape routes." Looking around he moved closer to Riven and Anna whispering so only they could hear "remember this first important rule Right now we're on their turf assume we're being watched right now and they know we're here."
“Always,” Riven said with a grin. “Abe gave me a speech about that before we went to the helicopter to get here.”
Anna rolled her eyes. “I already know that, human.”
"If I kiss you will you use my name?" Lyle asked, moving to the house next to Abe to check for traps.
"No," Anna said as she went to another house, listening and watching.
Riven, however, was sniffing around, ears twitching. "Hm…Wait!" He yelped and grabbed Lyle, stopping him before he could put his foot down inside the door. "Pressure trap!"
"Thanks" Lyle said kneeling down to disarm it "be prepared if they are willing to booby trap the place we might be on top of them.
Riven sniffed along the air and heard Abraham curse in the other house. “I think they booby trapped every house…” He muttered.
Abraham threw out the trap he had disarmed and yelled something incoherent as Anna merely made the house she was in rot to the ground.
"Subtlety isn't your strong suit is it Kitty?" Lyle asked, approaching her after clearing his house.
“They want to play games with us, I’ll play games.” Anna seethed. “And stop calling me that!”
“You two fight like a married couple…” Riven commented as crouched down and sniffed along the ground. His ears twitched a few times, listening for anything abnormal. “These two are smart little shits…” He thought that was a good thing, but he would never say so. Maybe they’d get away and he wouldn’t have to help capture more metas.
Abraham walked out with a knife in hand. “No one in that house…perhaps they have gone to the obvious one?” He suggested and pointed at the old looking church down the road.
"Well you can either kiss me or start calling me by my name if you want me to stop calling you kitty" Lyle teased before turning to the church "if they're not there I say we turned into a base of operations either way that's expect resistance."
“Yeah,” Riven and Abe said in unison, staring at the church.
“I will never call you by your name, human.” Anna snapped and started toward the church.
“Why is it that she always seems to have a stick up her ass?” Riven asked, annoyed. “Woman needs to get laid.”
Lyle scratch her behind the ear as she walked, despite the teasing he would be lying if he didn't say he find her attractive. "Give me some time" he told Riven before catching up with her.
Anna swatted Lyle’s hand away and snapped her teeth at him again before she kept walking.
Riven and Abraham shared a look, shrugged, and followed them to the church where they would find the front door partially opened. The wolf man would instantly notice the string attached. “Trap…” He told them.
Lyle knelt down and disabled it before sidestepping and putting his back against the wall next to the door. Grabbing a flash bang on this belt, he gestured for Anna and Riven to cover their ears. Counting down from three with his fingers tossed it in.
Anna and Riven covered their ears while Abraham prepared a gun. There was an odd explosion, some kind of snarl, and something fell toward the door. It was big and heavy, slamming against the door with a loud banging sound that resembled that of a piano.
Lyle kick down the door before entering gun raised.
Fang would be hiding among the many seats that had what appeared to be dead bodies sitting in them, but were actually just a bunch of stolen mannequins. He kept Lola close and focused on the gun, causing his gravity to crush it, but didn’t harm Lyle.
"Doesn't have to be this way" Lyle replied calmly tossing the rifle aside and taking seat.
“You keep fighting us and I’ll rot your legs off…” Anna warned.
Riven grabbed Lyle and pulled him aside as a sphere of light shot at them and crashed into the wall behind them. The wall warped and broke into splinters, leaving a hole behind. “Jesus!” The wolf man growled. “These two are combining their power.”
"Got to say that's impressive" Lyle said looking at the wall before turning to Abe "looks like they've had practice since last time you guys tangled with them how do you want to run this?"
“Simply,” Abraham said and took a quick shot, moving around the church quickly.
Anna went in the opposite direction. “Get ‘em from behind, human!” She yelled.
Riven was sending ice straight toward the pair, but Fang was quick to block with a gravitational field, pushing the ice back as he and Lola ran toward the back of the church. They moved as quickly as they could, jumping into a trapdoor that led to an underground path.
Lyle jumped into the trapdoor chasing after them.
Fang looked back and shot a field of gravity at Lyle. “Fuck off!” He yelled, keeping Lola’s hand gripped in his own. The horned girl looked back at him, a familiar expression on her face that would remind him of the fear filled look in Juliet’s eyes back when they first met.
"Just wait for a second I don't want to capture you" he replied gripping his good eye. Memories of meeting Juliet for the time flashing through his mind. "I'm undercover for the underground."
“Likely story, dick!” Fang yelled as he turned and prepared another attack, keeping Lola behind him. “You all say the same shit!”
Lyle, you have to give them time…they don’t feel safe. Juliet’s voice would whisper from behind him.
Lyle raised his hands pulling a card out as his did so "listen I'm going to leave this card here it's for a woman named Frisk she's with underground. Then I'm going to turn around and head back and you're going to collapse the tunnel between us."
“How do I know your friends won’t be waiting for us?” Fang growled and froze when Lola let out a scream. Turning, he saw Anna grabbing onto the girl. “Let her go!”
Anna glared at Fang and pressed one of her blackened hands to Lola’s face. “That explains a lot, Lyle…” She hissed, smirking. “Though, wouldn’t it be easier to actually call this woman named Frisk?”
“Lyle, ya down there?” Riven’s voice called. He was still with Abraham, both men too afraid to follow Anna.
"Let her go Anna" Lyle replied, moving to her"you don't have to be a megacorp puppet, we could leave together."
