JP - Clawfoot Tub
“Hello…” The giant of a teenager said. “I…did I upset you earlier? If so, I wish to apologize.”
"It wasn't you. She…" Bronte trailed off with another shudder.
“Was it the rude woman in the room?” Nero asked. “They moved her away. She’s not happy with it, but at least she can’t yell where we’re all trying to sleep. By the way, do you know where I can find a large clawfoot bathtub?”
Bella detangled herself from the towel and looked up at Nero, tilting her head to the side in confusion.
Bronte wished Coral was far, far away, or dead. “Er… I think the bathroom had a clawfoot tub.” It was the one he had bathed in earlier.
Perking up, Nero smiled and revealed those scary sharp teeth. “Oh? Can you show me?!” He asked.
Bella panted and pawed at Nero’s leg, which got him to scratch behind her ears gently.
Bronte led Nero to the bathroom where he had scrubbed his skin until it was red. Indeed, the tub was an old fashioned clawfoot.
Nero smiled and went to the tub, literally breaking it from its piping. Water shot out of the pipes, spilling all over the floor.
Bella whined and tried to get Nero to put it back.
“What? I don’t speak dog, ma’am.” Nero replied.
Bronte stared in horror at the destruction. “Uhm… I hope there’s an Underground plumber.”
Bella tried to stop the water, but all it did was result in her getting soaked again.
Nero blinked. “Oh…” He wasn’t sure how to fix this, but someone came into the bathroom soon after and looked horrified.
“Why would you rip it off the floor?!” The plumber cried in horror.
“I didn’t know what he wanted with a clawfoot bathtub!” Bronte cried. There was violence everywhere he turned.
“I wanted it for a bed.” Nero said with a sweet and friendly smile.
The plumber sight and got to work at cutting off the water to the room. “You’re the one they’ve been talking about…go ahead then.” He waved Nero along. “Just no more destroying bathrooms, got it?!”
Nero nodded and carried the tub out of the room as if it were the most normal thing on Earth to do.
Even Bella looked shocked.
Bronte looked at Bella. “I think you need a hair dryer…”
Bella’s hair was basically in her face and she was dripping water everywhere. Before anyone could stop her, though, she got on all fours and shook her entire body, sending water all over the place.
Bronte groaned. He covered his face. He felt very tired all of a sudden.
The plumber did the same and let out a sigh. “You can use more towels…” He said to Bronte, glaring at Bella like she’d done all the damage.
Bronte nodded, grabbing more towels for himself and Bella.
Bella barked and happily followed Bronte, panting happily.
Bronte led Bella back to his room. He was soaked to the skin and shivering. He wondered if he took a shower if there would be hot water now.
Bella panted and stared at Bronte for a moment before going to the bathroom connected to his room. There was a shower in there - just a small square cubicle-like space - with a sink and a toilet. It was very basic, but had a homey feel to it that was welcoming to anyone who entered.
While in the bathroom, Bella stepped into the shower and started to fight her way out of the clothes she wore. Once the last of her clothing was gone, she barked to get Bronte to help with the dials and get his own shower. The moment he would walk in and see her, though, the nasty bruises on her inner thighs would be very obviously visible. There were more on her hips, but they were shaped like hands and there were claw marks
“Bella…” Bronte flushed and looked away, but not before seeing the marks on her. He felt terrible for her. He turned on the water and adjusted the dials to a comfortable temperature.
Crouching in the shower, Bella smiled and wagged her tail a little. She was one of those strange dogs that preferred showers, not baths. Looking up at Bronte, she whined. Didn’t he need to clean up and get warm?
“I’ll wait until you’re done.” Bronte shook his head.
