River answered, giving him a gentle and loving kiss. “Now, I need to go see what Amber is up to. I can hear her and the twins playing in the other room already.”

River feared for the furniture.

Riley nodded and kissed River again before heading to check on Anastasia taking a seat on the bed next to her. "How are you feeling?"

Anastasia was hugging her legs to her chest and looked up when Riley sat down by her. “I don’t know…I’m still uncomfortable down there after what he did to me…”

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Riley asked, pulling her into his lap and holding her.

“I don’t know…is there something to take care of pain here?” Anastasia asked, looking up at him. Realizing how close they were, her face flushed. “E-Excuse me…I should…I should go get breakfast.”

"Why don't we go together" Riley offered getting up with her "River has some berries for after you eat they're good for dealing with pain and aren't addictive."

“Berries can take pain away?” Anastasia looked shocked at this information.

"These are ones River created with her power" Riley explained walking along side her "she can adjust them so they can even bypass my powers."

“That’s cool,” Anastasia said with a smile and followed him along to the cafeteria area. Once there, she would notice a few people already in there, some eating and others mingling. A lot of them were obviously metas. There was even a family of what appeared to be dolphin people.

Riley grabbed them both some breakfast before finding a table for the two of them. As they sat down he filled her in on the adventures they've had over the past 5 years since all meeting up at Rivers place.

“That’s a lot of stuff to do in just five years…” Anastasia said, slowly eating her food. She was trying to figure out what food she did and did not like. Though, at the moment, everything tasted good to her. “So…about this Loreen person…is she still alive or am I the only one left?”

"Honestly I'm not sure personally I don't think she's dead Thrane maybe smart but she's on another level" Riley admitted "Regardless it doesn't matter you're Anastasia not Loreen. You're kind, caring, and beautiful."

“Oh, Uhm…thank you,” Anastasia blushed and stared down at her food.

Riley smiled and continue to eat. Once they were done he led her back to the room. "I keep the berries hidden because Piritta likes to eat them like candy" Riley explained pulling them out and offering her some.

“Okay, thank you.” Anastasia hesitantly ate one, shocked that it tasted sweet and nice, almost like chocolate. “Wow!”

"Just give it a moment and let me know if you need another" Riley replied a smile on his face.

Anastasia took a seat on the bed, already feeling her pain ebb away. “I think I’m fine,” She said softly.

Riley sat beside her " I'm glad I just wish I'd been faster back then."

“It’s not your fault…” Anastasia said.

"I made a promise to protect you and I failed" Riley whispered "what kind of man am I? Your first time should have been special with someone you love and care for."

Anastasia hugged herself and shrugged. “What’s done is done, Riley…we can’t fix it…” She was getting uncomfortable from this conversation. “Can we…talk about something else? Please?”

Riley nodded and laid down on the bed to get comfortable “sure what would you like to talk about?”

“What…what do you like to do in your free time?” Anastasia asked. “I don’t know what to do half the time and the kids said something about…uh…games? Video games? Whatever those are…”

“Honestly I can’t remember the last time I had so much free time “Riley chuckled “The last five I’ve been focused on keeping everyone together and finding Susi and Esther. Being a speedster I prefer to relax a lot either swimming, reading, watching movies, and video games which a way of entertainment. Getting up he walked over to his backpack and pulled out a portable gaming device “here I’ll show you.”

Anastasia watched as he showed her how the gaming device worked and would even try it herself, but she was just horrible at it. Still, she kept trying until she got some progress in the game.

A knock on the door would occur after a bit. “Papa, are you decent?” Esther’s voice came from the other side.

“Of course Esther come on in” Riley replied from his spot on the bed.

Esther opened the door and stepped inside slowly. With the way she moved it always looked as if she were floating. “Papa, I…I wanted to talk to you about something.” She said, looking at Anastasia. “Alone…”

“I’ll be back” Riley replied following Esther to her room so they could talk “what’s wrong dear?”

“It’s not so much that something is…wrong, papa…” Esther shifted in place before sitting down on her bed. “When I left…returned to the Hellscape, I mean…I was in despair and hurting, so I never got to mention anything to anyone…”

“ You were hurting,” Riley replied taking a seat next to her and placing a hand on her shoulder.

“The day Shimo told me he was leave, I…I was so excited that day after I’d woken up and gotten a test done…I…” Esther looked away. “Papa, I have a son…”

Riley pulled her into a hug “I’m so happy for you Esther “ he said in an excited tone “Can I meet him?”

“I…he left a few years ago. He visits me every now and then, but he’s a grown man now. Already…time dilation.” Esther did not feel proud of her son leaving. “I love him, but I don’t want to force him to stay, even if he was all I had while in there…I don’t even know where he is…”

“ Do you want us to find him?” Riley asked a worried look on his face.

“I do, but I don’t all at once.” Esther sighed heavily. “I just want to know he’s doing okay…”

“We can talk to Mark and see if he can track him down” Riley replied “check him out from afar and see then if you want to talk to him.

“Okay…” Esther said. “I…I named him Fuyuhiko…He’s Fuyuhiko Brown.”

Riley nodded and vanished for a moment before returning “Mark will see what he can find shouldn’t take too long.”
