JP - Show me that Ring!
Kiana looked at the tie on the doorknob and sighed. She wished she had grabbed her bag before leaving the room.
Seele walked up next to Kiana. “What do ya need in there?” She asked.
“Everything.” Kiana groaned. “If I knock on the door I can ruin my brother’s love life for a month.”
Seele looked as Gelf opened the door. “I doubt that.” She said with a soft laugh and waved at Sorley. “I wanted ta let ya both know that if ya need anything, I’m part of the medical team.”
“You don’t understand how my brother is.” Kiana said.
Sorley was still blushing when the door was open. His sister probably knew what they did.
“Gelf! I want to see the ring!” Kiana exclaimed excitedly.
Gelf blinked and laughed before holding her hand out for Kiana to see.
Kiana admired the ring. “It suits you, and it is so something Sorley would pick out.” Kiana grinned, she had no doubts about Gelf saying yes to her brother. She hugged Gelf. “This is so cool! Aw, Sorley is still blushing.”
Gelf hugged her back and giggled before looking at Sorley. “No reason to be embarrassed, silly.” She told him, reaching over and pulling him into the hug.
Seele just watched them, sneaking pictures with her phone.
“You two are just so fucking cute.” Kiana repeated. “You’re gonna be so happy together.”
Sorley could not stop blushing, but he hugged them back.
Gelf nodded, lost for words at this point. She was just so happy. “We should probably head home soon, though…”
Kiana sighed. “They want to grill us about that Canestone clone we saw.”
“We only saw him for what, a few minutes? Seconds?” Gelf groaned.
“Yeah, but we’re the only ones who saw him that haven’t been captured by MegaCorp or are recovering from surgery.” Kiana said.
“What?!” Sorley asked in alarm.
“Surgery?” Gelf got a worried expression on her face. “Who?”
“I guess the clone got a baseline human and… did things to her.” Kiana did not get the details. She knew too much from when she read Canestone’s file to guess. “The clone has been busy… also I read the file last night, I guess the mad scientists made two clones.”
“Mad is an understatement at this point.” Gelf shuddered in disgust.
“Why two of them?” Sorley asked. He thought one was too many, but if they were going to clone two why not a whole army of the sick twisted torturers?
“I guess one was implanted with Canestone’s memories, and I’m guessing the other wasn’t.” Kiana said. “The nature/nurture debate.”
“That just makes me want to vomit more…” Gelf muttered and hugged herself. “If either of them tries to touch you or Sorley, I’ll…” She left the rest to their imagination.
Sorley wrapped an arm around Gelf protectively.
“In theory the clone without Canestone’s memories won’t be bad… I mean, Sorley did get half of his DNA from Canestone and he couldn’t be less like him.” Kiana pointed out. “I’d rather not meet either of them though.”
“Agreed,” Gelf admitted. “I’d rather they just go back to hell…where they belong.”
“Tzeitel and her friends will probably take care of them right away.” Kiana said. “We probably won’t see either of the clones again.”
“I hope you’re right…” Gelf said, pulling both Sorley and Kiana into a tight hug. It was bad enough not having Evie around.
Sorley hugged his sister and Gelf, smelling Gelf’s hair. Someday he would find out why it always smelled good.
Kiana hugged the two for a moment, then broke off the group hug. “Let’s get this over with. I wanna eat chicken nuggets and binge chick flicks with my pig.”
Kiana's phone would suddenly start ringing before anyone could reply to her.
Kiana answered her phone. “Hello?”
“Hello, Miss Kiana,” Gregor’s voice sounded concerned. “Herbert and the cat have stolen my car and disappeared into the storm…”
