Meanwhile, the other Clone
Caneclone easily fit in with the homeless population and was given a bed in a shelter. A lot of them suffered mental illness, having only a few years worth of memories passed as a mental illness. All he knew before his escape was life in MegaCorp, living life under a microscope for some reason. Sometimes he dreamed of having a twin brother but being separated. He had very few memories, he remembered absolutely nothing of his childhood. All he knew was one day he existed as a full grown adult wearing a dehumanizing collar with the numbers 001 stamped on it. He was handed a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle before being ordered to clean. With so many animals in the place there was always something to clean. It was a very boring life.
Then one day there was excitement. Some experiment and a girl had fought back, a guy and this gorgeous pink-haired girl showed up. And the beautiful pinkette helped Caneclone escape. She had attacked him, they all had attacked him, but the pinkette had given him his freedom. Caneclone did not know why she hated him for no reason, but she was so pretty. The pink hair, perfect skin, blue eyes, that great pair of breasts. It made his skin prickly to think about her. He knew they had to meet again. He wanted to get to know her better.
As Caneclone lay on his bed surrounded by snorting, farting, smelly homeless men he took stock. He was free of the facility. He got that collar off so he was able to freely use his powers, and did not have to worry about being tracked. The homeless shelter had given him some clothes, a lot of socks with bees on them, toiletries, a cheap smartphone, and gift cards for local stores. He used the phone to go online, being careful to turn down the screen’s brightness so as not to draw attention from the other men. He quietly made plans.
