Physical Appearance

Standing at the standard height of 1.83m, Fenn’s appearance does not deviate from any other standard clone trooper in the slightest. He keeps his hair short and neat, keeps himself clean shaven as far as possible, and lacks notably large scars about his face. Fenn wears specialized paratrooper armor painted the blue of the 7th Airborne Regiment with markings appropriate to a Commander. The only modifications to the armor is a pauldron and kama.

Personality and interests

Methodical, detailed, and punctual, Fenn is the breed of commander who executes his mission and executes it neatly. A firm believer in the violence of action, he takes steps to ensure that he controls the battle by ensuring the enemy is always on the defensive, always countering his moves and not making their own. Collateral damage, while kept to a minimum in most situations as it seems to Fenn to be simply a waste of ammunition and a demonstration of friendly positions, has proven to be useful on several occasions to delay enemy movements by blocking roads and rail with debris, but he takes care to consider such orders on a case-by-case basis. However, that is not to state that Fenn is personally bloodthirsty, blinded by aggression, or lacking in moral capacity; he disassociates such aspects from his personal attributes, seeing the strategic map and his deeds as an individual as two different things. Aggression in strategy is not aggression in real life, as the commander demonstrates, as he is personally a relatively well-regarded, kind CO when it comes to his relationship to his men. Towards civilians, what few encounters he has had with them have been carefully cordial, in part due to Fenn’s awareness of potential ambush by any large crowd, though he has taken pains on several occasions to not cause undue rioting among civil populations.

History

Cloned on Kamino in the forth batch, then-CL-04/2124 would experience all the normal measures that came with being in the Grand Army of the Republic before it was even known to the galaxy. He had been assigned to 44th Combat Engineer Company as a Lieutenant in 3rd Platoon which was notable in its formation by the fact that no personnel were killed during the live fire drills. Kaminoan trainers proved exceptionally bland at most things, but their live fire drills were not. Specialist training would be given periodically by one Jesh Brorbun, a Corellian Cuy’val Dar who, as expected, specialized very much in explosives. He would give a good impression on the 44th, teaching them a variety of Olys Corellisi whenever possible.

Deployment to Geonosis was marked with initially heavy casualties as two LAAT/i gunships were destroyed and the platoon made a hard landing near the Trade Federation core ships. They rapidly moved to engage grounded Geonosian fighters in a nearby hangar, destroying multiple before having to hole up in the hangar due to a massive attack by the Geonosians. After one hour, reinforcements would arrive by LAAT/i with 3rd Platoon surviving at one-third strength. They continued to push underground, rendering one factory complex inoperative after rappelling down a ventilation system which had been shut down to attempt to avoid detection, and would eventually link up with other units on the same task. When the First Battle of Geonosis ended, 3rd Platoon was left with twenty-nine survivors, fifteen wounded. They would stay behind on the planet for the occupation, augmented by platoons from the 7th Infantry and 106th Mechanized to bring them up to full strength. The rest of the 44th notably did not suffer such heavy casualties and, all told, had lost the majority of their men in the 3rd Platoon.

The Occupation of Geonosis would eventually end in failure as more units would be lifted offworld while Geonosian activity skyrocketed. Jedi Knight Knir Kaandomu would be assigned to the unit as overall commander during the occupation, a Bothan with an impeccably cynical sense of humor, and it would be during this occupation that CL-04/2124 earned his name. Third Platoon would escape no less than five attempted ambushes, utilizing heavy air cover to keep alert, have close air on standby, and provide for a rapid exit, though in two cases the ambush would be broken through by sheer firepower and movement. Modified fragmentation grenades, set to airburst at a certain altitude, would be developed by the 44th as a solution to their bug problem, though such things could only serve to prolong the issue at hand. First Platoon of the 44th would be destroyed with all upper command lost, to include Knight Knir, by a large bombing effort by the Geonosians which collapsed the headquarters. CL-04/2124 would take up command of the remaining units, leading them in their evacuation from Geonosis. The unit, understrength at only three platoons, would be reorganized, reinforced, and given specialist training as the newly-formed 7th Airborne Regiment before being transferred to the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps under Jedi General Mace Windu. For his role in the evacuation, Fenn would be given command of the 7th.

They would take part in the Battle of Ryloth alongside elements of the 91st, performing a high altitude jump to maneuver behind enemy front lines. A rapid assault on a newly discovered airfield, one which had been supplying the Hyena bombers used to attack civilian villages, would occur no less than one hour following the jump, taking the airfield with minimal casualties with the usage of accurate turbolaser support. Within two hours, the airfield would be operational for LAAT/i’s to begin landing additional troops and material. The 7th would move on to counter a CIS attack aimed at reinforcing their troops at Lessu, ambushing them at several locations before withdrawing. They continued that method three times to slow the enemy advance before GAR forces arrived at their positions. In the end, the 7th Airborne would leave Ryloth some hours after the liberation of the city itself had been completed.

Since then, they've participated in multiple Outer Rim Sieges with good effect, establishing a tradition of striking rapidly without warning.
