Anna smiled at her phon her heart almost jumping out of her chest. i don rhink they would mind... she sent back it three smile faces. She couldn't wait to see sam. She didn't know why he ad suddenly responding how she had always acted him to but se wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth or however it went. She would enjoy this as much as she could while she could.

Kate was left without words as he left here there her heart in her boots. If she wasn't mistaken Rainey would be in one o he south borders....she hurried to call her mom and Rainey. She rushed to her horse. To he'll with him hersister was outhere. She called Marley telling her what was happening then tried David who o course didn't answer. About then the new hand road up. Her eyes cut him " go back to the house stay with m mother." And she turnd hr horse to gallows the rangers.

Marley slumped over her saddle her face shirt and jeans dirty and sweaty. " Probably alot of the same. That's how it works around here, same shit different day." She grinned at him then and sat up. " you know it's kinda nice having you round." She said it was true sam was really growing on her. Just then her cell buzzed. She didn't even have time to say hello before Kate dropped everything on her andhung up. Marley eyes grew round and she looked to sam. She knew they wouldn't make it to her intime but just like Kate she had to try. Kicking her horse hard Marley took off like a bullet.

Rainey had worked spent the rest of the day working alone. Her thoughts empty save for work and Alex. She had decided to call it a day. She packed her things and was headed back in. As she crossed the stream she was lost in her head. Thinking of how much she had blown things. Maybe that's why she didn't notice them men till the shots started. They rang out loud and rabid spooking her horse so he reared back so fast she didn't have time to catch her self before he dropped her right out of the saddle. She rolled to her feet her ears ringing. She tried to figure out what was going on. There was guns popping and men yelling she tried to grab the rains and had just got ahold of them when a stray bullet struck the horse in its hired leg making it jump before running dragging Rainey with him for a bit till sheet go. The dirt next to her exploded in several places as bullets rained down on her. She screamed and dropped to her belly covering her head with her hands she could taste the dirt and the grass under her as it got in her face. She rose to her hands and knees crawling to a large rock by the water she sat with her back against it and covered her ears. A man to the right of her collapsed and when she looked down she saw a Hispanic man covered in tattoos and blood staring her in the face with blank eyes. She squeezed her eyes shut. Flashes o the past coming back to her mixing the fear from then mixing with the fear of now. The sounds of gun fire and men yelling mixing with the feel of rough hands and hard bodies. Something struck her side from behind and she tried to scream but this time her throat was closed. Her world swam she couldn't breath.

Amelia collapsed at the news Kate gave her her world collapsing in on her as she thought of her baby out there possibly gone forever and knowing full well she might lose all three girls as the other two old fight tooth and nail to save their sister.
