Building fences.

As the three sisters began herding the animals away, Alex and the other hands began the process of tearing down the old fence so the new one could be put in its stead. To some, it might have seemed counterproductive for him to fix the old fence only to turn around and tear it down. That was just how life on the Ranch worked, the old fence still had to work until it could be replaced, after all, what if some emergency had to postpone the project until a later date? To Alex it didn't matter work was work, be it fixing the fence or helping animals if the kings needed it done he'd do it without question.
