20: It's All in the Game (JP)

“I thought all the clan was going to be here,” Sophie said entering the common room.
“Where the hell are Nori and Min?” Johnny asked, setting his back against the arm of a sofa, his usual place for gaming.
“They went shopping,” Tom said as he made sure all the game controllers were out.
“Ooooh, that must be annoying Tom.”
“Shut your face Gaius.”
“Yeah but Min and Nori…”
What?” Tom snapped. “Because they are both Asian?”
“Maybe they’ve been looking for a coinka.”
Sophie laughed and Gaius got a punch in the arm from someone else for that remark.
“FYI,” Thom said. “They went to get some dancing gear, Nori’s is all girl’s stuff and Min went along for boy fashion advice.”
“Ah crap,” Gaius said, “they said they were going to play.”
“They went for some ramen and gone to Game Room to play,” Thomas said.
“Why the hell are they there?” asked Johnny.
“Game Room upgraded their PCs last week,” Gaius said.
“And unlike some of us not all their friends are here,” Sophie said.
The Game Room in Salem Center was really popular with the game kids in the town. However the set up at Xaviers meant that the gamers there could indulge in MMOs or RPG in the comfort of their own home as a group.
“Anyone seen Shak?” Sophie asked.
“He’s been running punishment laps. I messaged him, says he’s on his way.”
“Thanks Tom. Anyone else playing?”
Thomas looked into the Common Room, Ethan was still watching his movie. He lobbed a pack of crisps at Ethan and told him they were having a gaming session, he didn’t know if they were going for FPS or MMO but the more the merrier was his view.
