04.02: Dead Girl

Where ever she went Jenny enlisted the help of the ghosts to help her. Most were more than willing others took encouragement. She used them to keep an eye out for her.

Ghosts of little old ladies who spent her golden years watching the neighborhood like a nosy busy body always jumped at the chance because that is how they spent their afterlife and nobody can listen to their gossip.

Jenny was living in a rental house that had no tenants that also where Ruby a little old lady ghost also lived. Jenny was exercising, there was little else to do without power and she already read the books the previous tenant left behind.

Ruby came into the room where Jenny was. "Jenny! Jenny! A stranger is stalking the neighborhood." Jenny stopped what she was doing. She has heard that before turned out it was cops on patrol. Some ghosts couldn't or wouldn't learn the difference since cops didn't exist when they died.

Jenny went to look for herself. She caught a brief glimpse of him. He was not a cop, too young for a cop, she guessed he was around sixteen maybe eighteen. Could be the child of a new neighbor walking the neighborhood. Jenny for some odd reason felt this child was an omen. Only time will tell whether this omen was good or bad. She thought about keeping an eye on him but a supposedly empty house with the blinds partly open for an extended period of time would be suspicious.

"Good job Ruby. Keep an eye on him. Could be a new neighbor's kid though."
