18: Moonstone

Joshua was sad.
"Pusscat Moonstone does not like us Mama."
"You have to give her time to settle Joshua."
"No Mama. She is scared of us."
Emma saw the cat shy away from them but she was expecting something like that. Cats were crazy. And this one definitely so."
"We've been super nice and kind and her feelings to you and me are really really horrible."
"What do you want to do sweetie?"
"Moonstone can't live under the plate dresser. Maybe we are the wrong family for her Mama."
Emma knelt next to her son. "That's a big decision Joshua."
"She is a sad pusscat Mama, and even though we have been nice she won't be happy here. She deserves a place she will be happy in."
