14: War of the Worlds (POV Alchemy)

Thomas wanted the team to do well at this, for one thing it would look good on his record. But he also wanted to develop teamwork.
Tom liked Ethan was coming up with suggestions.
They did loads of training on the ‘mundane’ aspects of covert work and teamwork was paramount then. But here when they were using their powers things were quite different. They all knew that Tom wanted a good rating on this and were content to let him lead, but Ethan was a wildcard in this group. His suggestions were welcome though, it made Tom consider other ideas.
Even though this was only a fully functional three dimensional simulation they had to treat these scenarios as real.
‘Our objective is to survive for three more hours Starbolt. I do not want to lose anyone. But if we can find a way to help the victims then we should. I don’t want them hurt or killed. Do you think salt might work? We are not that far from the sea. I wonder if the red weed can live on the coast.’
